Charli XCX - SUPER ULTRA (Track by track REVIEW)

As much as I don't get too much visits in my blog, I really enjoy reviewing my favourite albums and mixtapes, so I will go on (if anybody is reading me, I hope you like it).
Super Ultra was the first Charli XCX mixtape that I heard, and it had me bopping a lot of time. This mixtape made me a Charli stan for sure. I know people should not review their favourite artits's albums, but I feel like I need to do it.

1.- Cloud Aura (feat. Brooke Candy): Amazing. It mixes the perfect synthpop goth vocals from Charli with the killer Brooke Candy verse. They suit eachother and the song flows in a perfect way. One of her best songs. 10/10

2.- Moments In Love: A really short (1:30 minutes) song where she sounds sexy and sings about kisses and love. Not the perfect song but it is executed in a good way. 7/10

3.-  Velvet Dreaming (Luv): I really love everything here. The voice and the beat are what I most love about Charli, that sexy and cool voice over amazing synthpop beats. One of the highlights in the album. 10/10

4.- Dance 4 U: My first intention was to only have 2 or 3 highlights in this album, but this is also majestic. I swear my favourite voice in the entire world is hers. I can't. 10/10

5.- Glow: It's a really good song, but as much as it might be one of the fan-favourite tracks, I prefer other songs over this. However, it's still a cool Charli song. ''Don't loose your glow, don't fade away into the darkness''. 8/10

6.- Heatwave: I can't with this mixtape, this might be my favourite song from hers. It mixes her darkest and happiest voice sounds. 10/10

7.- Cold Nites Remix: Finally, a song that I don't like that much. I still like it, but not as much as the others, and It's a bit slow compared to the rest. 7/10

8.- Forgiveness: The ballad of the album. This has her sexy voice and she also shows her vocal range. It's still goth synthpop or something like that, and I also like it a lot. 8/10

Overall: My favourite mixtape ever.

I know I'm being too biased and I gave too much 10's, but I will always love this mixtape. I wish it was officially released and I had a physical copy, I would be bopping to this everyday.

LADY GAGA - DO WHAT U WANT VIDEO PREVIEW LEAKS

TMZ releases a snippet of the controversial Do What U Want video!

It is only about 30 seconds long, but it seems controversial and interesting! The only problem is the backlash she could get for the video being filmed by Terry Richardson and featuring R. Kelly... We will see if it leaks or if she decides to release it!

Review: Beyoncé - BEYONCÉ (Track by track)

I must admit that ner latest album made me a fan. I have never been really interested in her, she was just a pop diva and I listened to 5 songs or so. But when I gave a listen to her self titled album it was really, really good. Here's my review:

1.- Pretty Hurts: Great song. It's like a mix between a low ballad and a really catchy and dance track. Plus it's really beautiful and I love the lyrics. 9/10

2.- Haunted (& Ghost): Such a grower. It was just an average track but I got into it too fast. Catchy and dark synthpop. 8/10

3.- Drunk In Love: Amazing. It was a bad idea as a first single to start this era, and I don't like Jay Z's part. However, Bey never fails, it's SO good. 9/10

4.- Blow: I might look like a crazy Beyoncé stan because I'm only giving good marks until now, but this is a really good track! I don't like Pharrel, who produced this, but it's a really good club banger. 8/10

5.- No Angel: It needs to grow on me, it's a great song you know, but I'm not really into it YET. 7/10

6.- Partition (& Yoncé): The first part is a rap called Yoncé,  I would prefer them separated to be honest, but this is one of my favourites tracks on the album. Cool lyrics, melody and everything. It's just so badass but at the same time lovely. 10/10

7.- Jealous: I don't really love this track. It's a bit basic and the album was really AMAZING until this track. It's not bad, but feels short compared to the highlights of the album. 6/10

8.- Rocket: Another good track that just feels basic and short compared to the rest. 6.5/10

9.- Mine (feat. Drake): The best featuring in the album, I don't really care about Jay Z and Frank Ocean when I have this flawless track with Drake. It's not a really a dance or a badass track as some others in the album, but they compliment so well. 8/10

10.- XO: I liked it a lot at first, the intro is beautiful, but it aged too fast. I mean, some songs have got replay, XO, however, hasn't any. 7/10

11.- ***Flawless: WHAT IS THIS BOP? Seriously, the title track describes it so well! I totally love it. It has got a feminist interlude that is cute at first, then it becomes a bit repetitive, but the song is godly. WE FLAWLESS, LADIES, TELL EM. 10/10

12.- Superpower (feat Frank Ocean): I really like Frank Ocean, but the song feels short. It could have been an amazing featuring, but it's really average. 7/10

13.- Heaven: Another perfect track. One of the ballads of the album. 9/10

14.- Blue (feat. Blue Ivy): This is so cute, I love Blue Ivy, her daughter, here. Another flawless ballad. 9.5/10

Overal score: 8/10
I would give a 9 or even a 10 putting away some fillers, but the album is still sooooo good. Really recommendable.

Lady Gaga's PARTYNAUSEOUS is produced by Fernando Garibay

The first night of her new tour artRAVE she debuted a song that was first supposed to be a collaboration between her and Kendrick Lamar. You can hear the live song here:

But apparently it was produced by Fernando Garibay, because he posted a part of the instrumental in his instagram account, you can watch it here:

You can also listen to this amazing remake of PARTYNAUSEOUS, made by a fan:

Sky Ferreira - Night Time My Time (Track by track)

Sky Ferreira - Night Time, My Time: debut album by this amazing pop grunge princess. She changed a lot her style and she went for a total grunge and rock look and sound. In my opinion, it's so much better.

1.- Boys: I like it, it's not the best song, but it's good. It's like a mix between the pop side of Sky with her new grunge and rock sound. 7/10

2.- Ain't Your Right: Similar to Boys, it's also a good track. 7/10

3.- 24 Hours: The fan-favourite track, sure. Sounds really cool. 8/10

4.- Nobody Asked Me (If I Was Okay): People may think this is some pretentious and selfish thing because of the title, but she had hard times in her life that influenced her songs, for example, this one. 8/10

5.- I Blame Myself: My favourite song from the album. It's so good and I love the video. It also has a meaning about her reputation. 10/10

6.- Omanko: The least liked song by people in Night Time, My Time. The lyrics are things like ''reading japanese comics and f*cking japanese omanko''. However, I like it. 6/10

7.- You're Not The One: Flawless song, to be honest. The first single to this album. This song started her new style and I personally love it. Between the best tracks. 10/10

8.- Heavy Metal Heart: I don't have much to say, it's a lovely, cool and entertaining song, exactly like the rest of this album. 8/10

9.- Kristine: Well, I like it and I always love Sky, but it's my least favourite track of the album. 5.5/10

10.- I Will: This is a bop, a REALLY good pop song. 9/10

11.- Love In Stereo: ANOTHER BOP, THIS GIRL NEVER FAILS. In this track she sounds a bit like young Madonna. Very poppy. 9/10

12.- Night Time, My Time: Yet again, another flawless and perfect song. I love the music video for it, and it's the slowest track in the album. I totally LOVE it. 10/10

Probably my favourite album of 2013 along with True Romance (Charli XCX) and ARTPOP (Gaga). This girl is amazing, her pop roots are cool, you know, but her actual rock sound is amazing. This album deserves a 9, I don't care if a lot of people don't like it, I think it may be in my top 10 favourite albums EVER.
Highlits: I Blame Myself, You're Not The One, Love In Stereo, I Will...

Lana Del Rey - Ultraviolence (Review)

The new album by the amazing indie singer Lana Del Rey leaked the other day. I listened to it thinking I wouldn't like any song, because I hated the first two tracks I heard, and I still think that her previous album Born To Die will be so hard to beat. But here's my review.

Cruel World: It sounds good, but the track itself is 6:40 mins so It's so difficult to listen to it. However, it would be brilliant if it was 3 mins and I like her voice here. 6/10

Ultraviolence: People don't like this song because of the ''He hit me and it felt like a kiss'' line, but it's not talking about girls that like when boys hit them. Instead, it's about being addict to something bad, because some girls still think they love a boy even if he hurts them. The song itself is really good. 9/10

Shades Of Cool: I hated this song, and I still think it's boring. But it grew SO MUCH on me. I love her voice in the chorus, but at the same time it's a really typical Lana song. 7/10

Brooklyn Baby: Catchy song. It's beautiful and I love when she sings ''I've got feathers in my hair''. But at the same time it's too long (5:52). 7/10

West Coast: I kinda liked it at first, now I just find it an average but good track. 7/10

Sad Girl: This will probably grow on me, but until now I find it so boring. Five points for the chorus. 5/10

Pretty When You Cry: What is this? I'm not really into it. 4/10

Money Power Glory: I expected a similar song to the ones in BTD because of the title. I like it but it's a bit pretentious. 7/10

Fucked My Way Up To The Top: Some Lana songs really sound the same, but it's something that I don't dislike, because she's got her own style. This song was good, but it follows what I said. By the way, people say that this is a Lorde diss... I really hope Lana is not dissing a 17 years old girl. 8/10

Old Money: One of the fan-favourite tracks. But for me it's a meh. 5/10

The Other Woman: Another disappointment. All the songs will probably grow on me, but at the first time listening I'm not really feeling this one. 4/10

Black Beauty: Beautiful track. Nothing more to say. 6/10

Guns And Roses: It has got good things and bad things. It just needs to grow on me. 5/10

Florida Kilos: I will probably end up liking all the songs in Ultraviolence because that happened to me in Born To Die, but now I don't care if there are bad songs, because I LOVE Florida Kilos. Seriously, one of my favourite Lana songs. First time listening blew my mind. This totally compesates all the things I don't like about the new album. 10/10

Well, I already said many times that the album needs to grow on me, but this is what first time listening felt like. I would give it a 6 or a 7 out of 10 right now. Not recommendable to everyone, but it has got some amazing songs.
Hightlights: Florida Kilos, Fucked My Way Up To The Top, Ultraviolence and Shades of Cool

Review: Charli XCX - True Romance (Track by track)

True Romance: Debut album by Charli XCX, young singer that, at the age 21, is here to give us excellent music. She's totally worth listening and, well, she's probably my favourite singer right now.

1.- Nuclear Seasons: it's a good song, but not as much as the rest of the album. I was never really into it. 6/10

2.- You (Ha Ha Ha): So good, probably one of the best songs in the LP. It samples You by Gold Panda, and she does it so well. 8.5/10

3.- Take My Hand: In my opinion, it is the best song in True Romance. The video is also so good. 10/10

4.- Stay Away: First Charli song that I listened back in 2012. I loved it, but now I find it a bit boring compared to other songs. 6,5/10

5.- Set Me Free: This song is not a highlight in True Romance, but it is kinda good and her voice sounds celestial. 7/10

6.- Grins: A very good song to dance, Charli is amazing singing Grins live. I love every perfomance of this song, you should check it. Besides that, the studio version is a bit boring and sounds so much like other songs in the album.7.5/10

7.- So Far Away: People usually don't enjoy this song because Charli delivers us rap verses, but they sound so good, I swear, this song is so magical... 8.5/10

8.- Cloud Aura feat. Brooke Candy: The only feature in this amazing album, and it's with the amazing and polemic rapper Brooke Candy. This song sounds fresh and the video is so Tumblr. I love it.  9/10

9.- What I Like: Another amazing song, the video is also amazing and it looks like a grunge life explanation. So good to dance and her voice sounds really sexy. 9,5/10

10.- Black Roses: It's a good song, you know, but I rather listen to the best songs in the LP than this, it just sounds so alike to other songs like Grins, Set Me Free... 6/10

11.- You're The One: A synthpop masterpiece. One of the highlights in this album. Really fresh and cool. 9.5/10

12.- How Can I: Dark song that gets a bit boring, but also enjoyable. 6/10

13.- Lock You Up: Another good song in True Romance... This album hasn't got bad songs! 7.5/10

This album deserves a 8/10, although I totally LOVE it, I know that there are other good albums out there. This is just an amazing album and it sounds really fresh compared to actual music. Really recommendable.

First Review: Lady Gaga - ARTPOP (Track by track)

ARTPOP: New album by the worldwide known Lady Gaga. After amazing albums like The Fame Monster and Born This Way, this was one of the most anticipated albums, but it didn't do as well as her previous records. Nevertheless, this was one of the best albums of 2013 and I totally loved it.

1.- Aura: The first time you listen to it, it sounds so weird and strange, but the chorus is so good and it grows on you a lot. 7/10

2.- Venus: One of the best tracks in this album, this sounds so good and Gaga co-produced it. 9/10

3.- G.U.Y: The intro is epic, but you get bored of the song if you listen to it too much. Besides that, it's really interesting. 8/10

4.- SeXXX Dreams: I hated this song but it suddenly grew on me. Now it's one of my favourites on the album. 9/10

5.- Jewels N' Drugs: Little monsters don't like this song because it features 3 rappers, but Gaga's verse and chorus are really epic. 6/10

6.- MANiCURE: I never liked this song, to be honest, it's just so bad compared to other Gaga songs. Her voice sounds bad and it is so raw. 4/10

7.- Do What U Want feat. R Kelly: Probably the best song in ARTPOP, it caused controversy but it is amazing and it brings a new genre for Gaga: RnB. 10/10

8.- ARTPOP: Another highlight in the album, but the perfomances of this song are better than the studio version. 8/10

9.- Swine: Gaga sounds bad and agry here, and the iTunes perfomance was good, but the studio version is just too much. Difficult to enjoy. 3.5/10 (However, I would give a 6 or a 7 to the iTunes Festival version.)

10.- Donatella: Lyrics might not be the best, but the intro and the production both slay. 6.5/10

11.- Fashion!: Not a highlight, simply good. 6.5/10

12.- Mary Jane Holland: This is my favourite track on the record, I really love it. Produced by Madeon, it's interesting and cool. 9/10

13.- Dope: The ballad of ARTPOP. It's better the live version, but I love Gaga's song with only a piano. 6/10

14.- Gypsy: This track ages too fast, but it's really a fan-favourite along with SeXXX Dreams and it's a good song. 8/10

15.- Applause: Lead single of this album, it always sounds really fresh and it's so good. 9/10

Overall: 7/10
It's not as good as Born This Way, but this album could have been epic if released in 2012. I recommend it and it's so catchy and fun to dance to. Gaga is always amazing.
